EXECUTIVE COUNCIL 

President: 

Michael Scott Peters received 63 percent of votes, beating Rachael Fresh.

Executive vice president: 

Blake Harms received 51 percent of votes, beating Dallin Johnson.

Student events vice president: 

The winner wasn’t announced today because of an unresolved campaign grievance. Joseph Aratari ran against Keaton Whitney.

Organizations and campus diversity vice president: 

The winner wasn’t announced today because of another unresolved campaign grievance. Geraldine De La Mota ran against Chelsea Yoshikawa.

The Statesman is unsure when the USU Hearing Board will decide the student events vice president or the organizations and campus diversity vice president winners.

Student advocate vice president: 

Bridget Baldwin won. She ran unopposed.

Athletics and campus recreation vice president: 

Jakob Ambuehl won. He ran unopposed.

Service vice president: 

Todd Brown won. He ran unopposed.

Student alumni vice president: 

Brendon Brady won. He ran unopposed.

 

SENATE

College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences senator: 

Heather Lieber received 56 percent of votes, beating  Kassidy Carnahan.

Caine College of the Arts senator: 

Sierra Wise received 63 percent of votes, beating Sarina Mountcastle.

Jon M. Huntsman School of Business senator: 

Coby Davis won 52 percent of votes, beating Jacob Clayson.

College of Humanities and Social Services senator: 

Grant Bess won 58 percent of votes, beating Jason Jerman.

Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services senator: 

Diedra Thomas won 57 percent of votes, beating Jessica Bartholomew.

College of Engineering senator: 

Erik Olson received 50 percent of votes, beating Dallin Polson (48 percent).

Graduate studies senator: 

Anuj Khasgiwala received 69 percent of votes, beating Samuel Powell.

College of Natural Resources senator: 

Rebecca Thomas won. She ran unopposed.

College of Science senator: 

Travis Dowdle received 52 percent of votes, beating Haley Sorensen.

BALLOT INITIATIVES

CAPS Fee: 

The $3.50 increase in student fees for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) was approved.

Arts and lecture series: 

Students voted to approve “Arts and Lecture Series” to “Series Director” for the Arts and Lecture Series.

Regional campus representative: 

Aggies approved a measure that impacts USU’s regional campuses. The approved constitutional change will allow distance education students to be appointed, rather than elected.

Grammar changes: 

USU approved a change to a constitutional grammar error.
