Man found dead in Cache County irrigation pipe
On Monday June 17, Cache County Sheriff’s deputies located a man in a county irrigation pipe. Officials pronounced the man dead at the scene.
According to a press release by Cache County Sheriff Chad Jensen, the victim was initially discovered by a neighbor who then called 911. The neighbor then pulled the victim from the pipe. Shortly after Sheriff’s deputies arrived, officials began to perform CPR. After unsuccessfully attempting to revive the victim, sheriff’s deputies pronounced the man dead.
Officials reported that the irrigation pipe is approximately 2 feet in diameter. The Cache Valley Daily reported that the victim was located near 3846 North 2400 West in Benson. According to officials it is unknown how long the victim had been down.
The name of the victim is not being released at this time pending notification of the victim’s family members, according to officials.
