OURVIEW: Be mindful of those stuck in Logan
Welcome to the last day of classes. One more week and there will be another slew of credits under everyone’s belt. Then, most of the 18-25 age group will disappear from Logan for three weeks.
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year. Enjoy the break.
The Statesman staff is excited to be done putting out papers for the semester (look for us on the stands again Jan. 8) and to be able to focus on finals and the upcoming break. Everyone here gets to go home for the break, some of us here in Logan, some out-of-state. But there are students at USU who, for whatever reason, can’t make it home for the holidays.
Some people can’t afford to make the trip. Some can’t get off work. Some are international students for whom home is too far away.
If your home is in somewhere in Cache Valley, don’t forget about those who will be phoning home on Christmas and eating at Angie’s. Invite someone to spend an evening or two with your family.
Spread a little Christmas cheer.
