*USU SAAVI program is informing students about the Red Zone – the time when college women are most at risk for experiencing sexual assault and/or date rape. It begins with the arrival of students on college campuses in August and runs through November. Red Zone information Kits will be distributed Sept. 2 – Sept. 5, 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. TSC Sunburst lounge.

* African Drumming Workshop, Come learn technique, call and response, ear training and the fell of rhythm. Fred Simpson will teach a Congolese & West African drumming workshop at the ORC. Session begins Sept. 3 and runs Wednesdays 6 – 8 p.m. through Oct. 29. Cost is $75.

*Meet a returned Peace Corps Volunteer September 3, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the TSC to discuss service overseas, and there will be a 1-hour video presentation at 4:30 p.m. in the University Inn, Room 510. Info, www.peacecorps.gov.

* Valley Dance Ensemble’s fall session community dance classes will start Sept. 8 and run through Dec. 4. Classes offered include creative movement/modern dance for children ages 3-16, beginning and intermediate/advanced modern dance for adults (17+), and African-based dance for adults. Classes start at $40 for the session. Drop-in’s welcome, $5 drop-in fee. All classes are held at the Bullen Center, 43 S. Main, Logan. Register on-site.
