Student wants to write himself in for the election

McKay Butler: Freshman
US: What is your major?
MB: Pre-Dental and Biology
US: Why did you choose to come to Utah State?
MB: I love it! There’s so much to do, it just fits me perfectly
US: What is your favorite food?
MB: geez… There’s so much out there, let’s go with homemade chicken noodle soup.
US: What is your most embarrassing CD?
MB: Probably Alvin and the Chipmunks
US: What is your favorite book?
MB: “Angels and Demons” (by Dan Brown)
US: What is your favorite childhood memory?
MB: Reading with my grandpa before he died. I don’t remember the book but I remember sitting on his lap reading.
US: Who will you vote for in the presidential election?
MB: I don’t know. None of the candidates are what I’m looking for. I’ll probably just write someone in. I’ll write my own name in.
US: Who are three people that you trust with your life?
MB: My parents, Jenn Putnam, who is the president of admissions, and my best friend Colten.
US: What is the most adventurous thing you have done?
MB: I went skydiving once.
US: What would a perfect weekend be like for you?
MB: Going to an Aggies game with my friends, painting our chests and cap the weekend off with church.
US: What is your favorite nickname given to you?
MB: “McLovin.” Ryan Hannah and Steve Godfrey gave it to me when we were just hanging out one day.
US: What is your favorite sport?
MB: Intramural dodgeball
US: Tell us about a scar and the story behind it.
MB: This scar on my elbow was from football, from another person’s helmet.
US: What is your biggest fear?
MB: Having something bad happen to someone in my family.
US: What is the best class that you have taken at USU?
MB: I love Chemisty 1210. I’m a nerd, so that’s where I fit.
US: What is your favorite season and why?
MB: The fall. I think the leaves are awesome and the cooler temperature is perfect.
US: Tell us something quirky about you.
MB: I watch endless hours of documentaries on TV
US: What is your favorite animal?
MB: A bull.
US: What is your pet peeve?
MB: Cleanliness. When people are dirty, like slobs, I can’t stand it.
US: What is the coolest thing that is in your backpack right now?
MB: Probably my iPod.
