LETTER: Statesman staff are professional
To the editor:
I was just brought a copy of the Utah Statesman to my office by one of my patients for my perusal. I want to compliment you on the professional job of your newspaper and staff. I remember reading The Statesman while at USU and always found it well written and worthwhile. I have now been on the other end of the newspaper, having been interviewed by your staff. I am impressed by the professionalism displayed in setting up the interview, the respect of my time and accommodating my schedule for the interview. I am so impressed that they were true to the material we covered. The reporter was true to the tone of the theme that was covered, and the article was very well written.
Sometimes one hears of journalists who use information in a distorted manner or who manipulate the facts for different reasons. Thank you so much for a positive experience. Reporter Nate Laursen and photographer Debra Hawkins were great people with whom to work, and I wish them success in their respective careers. Again, I appreciate the experience of working with such a professional organization.
