LETTER: Smoking ban not enough
To the editor:
Smoking ban? Of course we need a smoking ban. There’s no question about that. The problem is that simply enacting a smoking ban doesn’t go near far enough. I happen to know that there are people on this campus who brew and drink coffee. Yes, it’s true.
I know of tea drinkers, also. In many cases, I am forced to smell coffee as well as be in the presence of people drinking coffee. If people want to drink coffee and other unhealthful substances, let them do it in their own homes, that’s what I say. So, let’s extend this smoking ban to include coffee. Having done that, we can then move on to the next dilemma, which is getting Beaver Mountain closed on Sunday.
