Campus Activies (F.Y.I.) for Feb. 12, 2007

• The Reentry Student Association meeting will be held Monday, February 12, and Thursday, February 15, noon-1 p.m., TSC, West Colony Room. Program will be “Academic Survival Tips, Reading & Studying Skills” by Penny Findlay. Meeting is open to all reentry students. • URCO Grants are due to the Research Office by noon, February 15.http://www.usu.edu/research/undergrad/urco/. Electronic submission encouraged.

• Healthy Relationships Week, February 12 – 16. Come enjoy the fun on Thursday night with relationship workshops. 6-8 p.m. TSC Ballroom. Noah Riley, ASUSU president, and his wife, speak to students about dating and relationship. Questions welcome! Also, join in ‘Cupid takes Aim’ game in the TSC Ballroom, from 1-3 p.m. Lots of food, fun and prizes.

• Fiesta! Sweetheart Salsa on Friday, February 16 at the Celebration Center. Dinner 7 p.m., dancing 8 p.m. Dancing only $5, dinner and dancing $15. Salsa Dancing performance by the USU Salsa Club. Proceeds benefit humanitarian efforts in Mexico.

• Banff Mountain Film Festival. Thursday, February 15 – Friday, February 16. 7 p.m., Kent Concert Hall. $8 for general admission, $6 for students. • Join us at the Polynesian Student Unions annual Luau, February 24, and the Native American Student Councils annual POW WOW March 2 and 3.

• The Utah Lacrosse Association will be conducting a clinic for new and returning Lacrosse Officials on Saturday, February 24, 2007 from 8:30 – 11:30 am, in room 282 of the Education Building. For more information contact Hal Potter at hal.potter@usu.edu.

• CCR&R is offering student parent support class that explores the development of math skills to help stimulate the development of your child. Free childcare is available. Call 797-1552 to get your child on the list. Located at the Emma Eccles Jones Center for Early Childhood. CCR&R also offers a student parent study night. • Mountain Crest High School Theatre presents, Arsenic and Old Lace, February 12- 17, at MCHS Auditorium. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased at Lee’s in Logan.
