Kaitlin McKinlay:I love the atmosphere
US: What is your favorite TV show?
McKinlay: The Office and Home Improvement.
US: Are you sad you are missing the Superbowl?
McKinlay: I’m sad to miss the parties, not the game.
US: Do you collect anything?
McKinlay: I collect wedding announcements.
US: Why?
McKinlay: Because people spend so much money on them I just keep the pictures.
US: What do you do with the pictures?
McKinlay: I look at them every now and then, as well as ideas of what I want for my wedding.
US: How many people are in your family?
McKinlay: 8
US: Where do you fit in your family?
McKinlay: I’m the fifth.
US: When is your birthday?
McKinlay: April 7, 1988
US: Where were you born?
McKinlay: Orem.
US: What does your dad do for a living?
McKinlay: He does research for BYU, he’s a librarian.
US: What kind of research?
McKinlay: I’m not sure, but he can read and write Hebrew.
US: What different things did you want do when you grew up?
McKinlay: I wanted to be an elementary teacher but I realized that was kind of cliché. I also wanted to be a ballerina.
US: What do you want to do now?
McKinlay: A few things I can’t decide, but I would like to be a special ed major. I was president of Special Olympics a few years back. I like deaf education too.
US: What did you do as president of Special Olympics?
McKinlay: I planned a lot of parties and went to the games and cheered them on.
US: What was the most rewarding thing about that?
McKinlay: The friends, they love you and you love them.
US: Who is your favorite cartoon character?
McKinlay: The Disney version of Robin Hood, I love the fox.
US: Who is the most famous person you have met?
McKinlay: Donny Osmond and Kirby Heyborn.
US: How did you meet those guys?
McKinlay: I was on student counsel and I was back stage and they were filming ‘Sons of Provo’ in my high school. I got to talk to him and my friends where making fun of me because I had a huge crush on him, and he heard every thing because he was standing right behind me.
US: How did you meet Donny Osmond?
McKinlay: He came to my elementary school.
US: What is your most embarrassing moment?
McKinlay: I have way too many, but I am notorious for my pants falling off.
US: Why are you notorious?
McKinlay: It has happened a few times, but this one time I went running and had on those pants that snap along the sides. I didn’t wear shorts underneath because it was going to be a short run. While I was running my friend came by and ripped my pants off right in the middle of the street and all these people saw, some people started honking at me, that was really embarrassing.
US: Have you ever ridden an elephant?
McKinlay: No, but I would definitely love to.
US: What are five words that describe you?
McKinlay: Um… happy, I’m affectionate, I like to touch people, but I have never been kissed. I’m blonde, I’m really feminine and girly anything that is sparkly or pink, it’s for me.
US: What event in your life would you like to permanently forget?
McKinlay: I was walking down canyon road and had some really tall boots on, I’m afraid of the cars that come down really fast, then this car whipped out in front of me and fell down and as I fell all my stuff went every where. The guy that was driving was way cute. It was just so embarrassing,
US: What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
McKinlay: I like cookies and cream but when I was little and went to BYU creamery all the time it was bubble gum.
US: What is your favorite Aggie ice cream?
McKinlay: I haven’t been there yet. I feel bad.
US: What is your favorite color?
McKinlay: Pink and red.
US: What are you going to do for Valentines Day?
McKinlay: I have to go to a play because of creative arts, but I’m excited for Valentines Day.
US: What is your favorite holiday?
McKinlay: Halloween.
US: Why?
McKinlay: I just think it’s charming, I think it’s so cute. I don’t like it when people dress up creepy. I like the cute little ghosts and stuff.
US: How did you end up in your current job?
McKinlay: My sister just barely graduated so I took her job.
US: What is it you do?
McKinlay: I’m a circulation librarian; I check books out for people and stuff like that.
US: Are you a text messenger or e-mailer?
McKinlay: I do both.
US: How many friends do you have on your MySpace?
McKinlay: I don’t do MySpace actually.
US: What is your favorite movie?
McKinlay: I love ‘Gone with the Wind,’ kind of weird because I usually don’t like drama.
US: Do you read the Statesman?
McKinlay: No.
US: Why?
McKinlay: Because I have never known about it before, it’s only my second semester.
US: Will you read now?
McKinlay: Yes, because now I know what it is.
