LETTER: Don’t get my hopes up

Editor,

I decided to take my daughter to the viewing of the football game Thursday night at the TSC so my wife could have an evening to herself. I went to the ballroom to find that it was locked and no one was around. There wasn’t even a sign. I talked to a maintenance guy and he told me that they had canceled the activity because ESPN decided not to show it. These things happen. I was OK with that.

What I was not OK with was the fact that there was no notification that the event was canceled. There were no advertisements in The Statesman. There wasn’t even a sign until I made one saying the event was canceled. This level of irresponsibility is unacceptable for our student government. I demand that whoever is responsible makes a public apology for their gross neglect of their duties.
