On Nov. 4 at 5:30 p.m. there will be a dodgeball tournament in Logan’s Rec Center. Teams may register by e-mailing dodgeforseed@gmail.com. Teams consist of 6 players and a fee of $50 is required to play. It is double elimination and there are prizes for winning teams. Come help raise money for the SEED!
Open meeting for JCOM students (and others) on Nov. 3 with NPR foreign correspondent Anne Garrels. Discuss covering the world, the U.S. invasion of Iraq, reporting wars. “West Side Story” is playing on the big screen at the Logan Arts Cinema on Nov. 4 and 5. The cost is $5 per person. Proceeds from ticket sales for this event go toward SEED. Come for a good time and for a good cause!
There is a fundraiser for the National Foundation for Transplants (NFT) on Nov. 13, 2010 at 9 a.m. It is a 3 on 3 basketball tournament and anyone is welcome to sign up! There is a $30 per team fee. All proceeds will go to NFT. Tee shirt included! Any other donations are welcome! Sign ups will be on Nov. 3, 4, and 5 in the TSC all day.
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is holding a Prospects in Mathematics talk at 3 p.m. Nov. 4, in ENGR 101. Dr. Jim Cannon, Orson Pratt Professor of Mathematics, BYU. Refreshments will follow the talk at 4 p.m.

The third annual Aggie Appreciation Day for Veteran’s will be held on Nov. 11 from 12 to 1 p.m. outside the TSC next to the flagpole. That evening at 7:30 p.m. the American Festival Chorus and USU Symphony Orchestra will present a tribute to veterans.
The Men’s Volleyball team has their first tournament of the year playing host to teams from Utah, UVU and others. Nov. 5 5-10 p.m. and Nov. 6 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.
The SNAC will be presented with the money that Aggies for Change raised at their coin collection 2 weeks ago. 9:30 a.m. at TSC 329. Come support this new student service.
Abstracts due on Nov. 15 for CUR’s National Posters on the Hill, which takes place in April, 2011. Submit through www.cur.org.

Byron Burnham, the Dean of Grad Studies at USU, and Matt Barclay, a doctoral student at USU are looking for couples married 7 years or less to participate in an online study to help them test software about “listening in marriage.” All participants will receive compensation and be entered into a drawing for prizes. Range Club Skeet Shoot at 200 S. 800 W. in Smithfield Utah starting at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 13. Hamburgers and homemade Root Beer will be provided. Guns will be available but please bring your own shells, 12 or 20 gauge. It will be $5 to shoot 25 shots and $5 to eat. Come have a great time!
