* Utah State is submitting an application to Phi Beta Kappa (PBK), thenation’s oldest and most prestigious honor society. It is a three-yearprocess; if the committee on qualifications approves this initialapplication, then a site visit will occur in fall, 2004.

* Mountain West Center is accepting applications for 2003 Garth & Marie Jones Scholarship. Scholarship for up to 18 credits for Spring Semester 2004. Available to USU graduate or undergraduate student with a high record of academic achievement majoring in Humanities or Social Sciences, including Economics. Expected graduation date must not be before June 2004. Rural Utah applicants given preference for selection.
