LETTER: Violence is not the answer

Dear Editor,

I am writing on my feelings on war and killing. I believe it is never right to take the life of another human unless they have committed terrible crimes their whole life.

In war, I think it is right for people to fight for rights, family, country and freedom. I wish we didn’t have to fight wars. I don’t believe in violence, but wish that instead we could resolve things peacefully. This won’t happen always though. There is so much hatred in war this is very difficult to settle. On Sept. 11, I felt horrified, pain, emotional, anger and love for America and the Americans whose lives were taken by that act of terrorism. Most of the world was supportive of America, and came united. I love this beautiful land that I live in, America. May it be forever blessed.
