ASUSU: Education Senator
Johnny Navarrete, an earth science/teaching composite major senior, is the only one on the ballot for education senator.
“This year I have had great opportunities to work with the administration and leadership of the college on activities such as Education Week and the NCATE visits,” he said. “Through these activities I have a knowledge of how the college works and how to get things done in an efficient matter.”
He said he plans to stay in contact with the members of the college through the creation of an online advisory council.
“I also plan to work on the lines of communication from me to the student body of the college, so they know who to contact if they have a concern or idea for improving the college,” he said.
“I want the students to know about my strong work ethic and dedication. I am dedicated to them and to the College of Education. I feel strongly about the next generation of teachers, and wish to truly represent them in all capacities I will be asked to fulfill. I want them to know that I am there,” he said.
