QUICK PICKS: Decent theaters aren’t hard to come by

Large popcorn, large Coke, a box of Milk Duds and some Sour Patch Kids would go great with a movie today. But which theater should we go to? There are four to choose from in Logan, not all of them offer the same prices, though, or the same style and comfort of seating.
Reel Time Reel Time is a much smaller theater offering only one screen and one movie, but like Cinefour and Movies 5, this theater’s price range is also $6 for adults and $4 for children, seniors and matinees. The seats are less comfortable than the seats in Cinefour and Movies 5, and because there is only one screen, times are also limited with only two shows playing on weekdays. 2 reels
Cinefour Like Movies 5, this theater also charges $6 for adults and $4 for children, seniors and matinees. The inside is well kept by its employees, and the seats are very comfortable. It is currently offering six movie choices playing on four screens. Although the variety of Cinefour is larger than Movies 5, the times are much less varied. The films offered are somewhat recent, but older than those at Movies 5. 3 reels
Movies 5 This theater offers five screens and five different films to choose from. Although it doesn’t take checks, it does have an ATM inside the building which offers fast and easy cash to those of us who have it waiting. It tends to show films as they are released unlike many of the other theaters in town. But like all other theaters in town it offers Pepsi products to its patrons. Prices range from $6 for adults to $4 for children, seniors and matinees.3 1/2 reels
The Utah The Utah Theater, like Reel Time, has only one screen and one movie offered. Its prices are much cheaper at $3 for adults and $2 for children, seniors and matinees. This theater has been around as long as the Lyric, and since being converted to a movie theater has put in new seats on the ground floor that offer cup holders. It also has the balcony for those of you who are willing to give up a cup holder for better seats. 4 reels
