Friday, Sept. 2, 2005

* Police arrested one male individual in association with the alleged theft of a Dell laptop. The man was booked into the Cache County Jail on two counts of burglary, two counts of theft and one count of criminal trespass.

* After giving blood, a woman fainted in the bookstore at about 12:30 p.m. Police responded and the woman was transported to Logan Regional Hospital.

* Police observed two skateboarders near the Physical Plant building. Police impounded the skateboard of a male who had previously been warned of the university’s skateboard policy.

Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005

* Police cited an individual just after midnight for being a minor in possession of alcohol near Old Main.

Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005

* Police responded to a report of a suspicious person by the Business building. The individual told police he wanted to enter the library, but it was closed.

Monday, Sept. 5, 2005

* USU police were contacted by a concerned parent whose daughter had left from the Salt Lake Valley hours before to return to campus, but had not been heard from since. Police found the student and had her contact her parent.

Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005

* Police responded to a report that two bicycle were locked onto a flag pole at the Military Science building. A note was left on the bicycles informing the owners they needed to park their bikes at a rack instead.

* A bat was located near the north entrance of Edith Bowen Elementary School around 12:30 p.m. Police took the bat to an area near First Dam to release it. The bat flew away when it was released.

Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005

* Police responded to a report of a minor using alcohol in Richards Hall. The individual was arrested and released with a citation.

* A university employee who was pulling a trailer behind a car accidentally hit another vehicle that was parked in the A-6 lot around 10 a.m. No injuries were reported.

* Police responded to Greaves Hall on the report of a stolen mountain bicycle. The investigation is continuing.

Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005

* USU police responded within four minutes to the B-East parking lot on a report of three sheep in the area. When police arrived, the sheep were spotted traveling east on a hill south of Highway 89 and 1400 North. Logan Animal Control was called, but was unable to locate the sheep when they arrived on the scene.
