OUR VIEW: Posters on the Hill is only good for USU

Students at Utah State University have reason to be proud of certain undergraduates. A lucky 11 students who engage in research while undergrads will travel to Washington D.C.

All told, USU will provide almost 20 percent of participants for National Posters on the Hill. Good for them. Their presence in Washington will give them a chance to receive more funding for their research projects.

President Kermit L. Hall has emphasized the research avenue of the university, these students are helping to broaden that road. More exposure isn’t only good for those students, but helps the university reach more of those ever-needed dollars.

Kudos to the students who have the drive to succeed and fight for their projects.

Kudos to professors for instilling the desire in those students.

Kudos to Joyce Kinkead in her role as vice president of Undergraduate Studies and Research. She works tirelessly to support each and every student who has a dream to put a project together.

Students need congratulations. Don’t forget them. They are truly making a difference for the world.
