Friday, Oct. 21

 

USU Police responded to a tobacco problem in the Mountain View Tower area. Police found a male with a cigarette in his possession. The person was cited for being a minor in possession of tobacco.

 

USU Police responded to a medical incident at Davis Hall involving two people who fainted. Medical personnel checked out one of the patients; the other patient denied medical attention. Both were released at the scene and no further action was taken.

 

Saturday, Oct. 22

 

• While working the USU football game, USU Police made contact with a subject who was handing out fliers. It was discovered this individual had a warrant out for his arrest.

 

USU Police spoke with an individual who had questions regarding domestic issues with her husband.

 

USU Police received a report of a hit-and-run traffic accident that occurred in the north parking lot of the Education Building. This accident occurred either sometime during or immediately after the USU vs. Louisiana Tech football game. Police are still investigating.

 

Sunday, Oct. 23

 

USU Police assisted Logan Police at a house party where an individual ran from the residence when Logan Police arrived. One minor was arrested for minor in possession, having an outstanding warrant and failure to stop at the command of a police officer, and was transported to the Cache County Jail by Logan Police.

 

USU Police responded to a report of trespassing and an odor of marijuana. USU Police are still investigating the trespassing. USU Police served warrants on two USU students for their vehicles and for drug testing. USU Police arrested the two students for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug-free zone and obstructing justice. They were transported to the Cache County Jail.

 

Monday, Oct. 24

 

USU Police responded to the Merrill-Cazier Library on a report of a suspicious person who was bothering females. The person was contacted and

identified by police and warned that his actions could result in criminal charges.

 

• A complainant reported there was an organized boxing match at Snow Hall. The complainant called about 20-30 minutes after the boxing match ended. One of the individuals was contacted later in the evening at Logan Regional Hospital.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 26

 

• Police responded to a “keep the peace” request at the Early Childhood Education Building. The complainant informed police that she needed assistance in picking up her child, due to a possible conflict with a former friend at the building. Police made contact with the former friend and asked her to leave the complainant alone or criminal charges could be filed.

 

USU Police received a delayed report of a possible criminal mischief incident at the Valley View Tower.  A student reported she thought her tire was slashed.
