LETTER: Don’t use parking for campaigns

Editor,

I guess student body elections are close. I’m not well-informed on the platforms of various candidates, but I do know who I am not voting for. When candidates park a campaign billboard in a prime parking spot, it shows me they are:

A. Inconsiderate.

B. Contributing to a big problem on campus (parking), instead of demonstrating how they are going to fix the problem.

C. Willingly signing their name to such behavior. Sure these signs may lodge their name into some students’ heads, thereby causing them to subconsciously check the “familiar name” on the ballot.

To these students I plead, remember where you saw that name. It may be a simple filter, but one I feel demonstrates which candidates are truly concerned with the betterment of our campus.
