Feb. 22, 2002 Police responded to assist an individual who had fallen on some ice near the Animal Science Building. The individual was transported by ambulance to Logan Regional Hospital for further evaluation and care.

Feb. 23, 2002 Police responded to a fire alarm at the Geology Building. The alarm was caused by water from a previous water leak activating a smoke detector.

An individual reported to police that a vending machine in the Chase Fine Arts Center was open. The machine did not appear to have been broken into. Police took possession of the money inside the machine and notified the vending company to respond and lock the machine.

Police responded to an intrusion alarm in Champ Hall. The individual was reminded to shut off the alarm before entering.

Police responded to a loud party in Aggie Village. Four misdemeanor citations were issued for minors in possession of alcohol, and one individual was booked into the Cache County Jail for supplying alcohol to a minor.

Feb. 24, 2002 While on a traffic stop, USU police arrested an individual for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Feb. 25, 2002 Police responded to the Business Building parking lot on a report of a smoking vehicle. Police discovered that the vehicle was not smoking, but steam was coming up through the ground from a steam leak. Physical Plant was notified of the leak.

A student passed out and struck his head while in a classroom in the Veterinarian Science Building. Police and Logan Fire emergency medical personnel responded. The student was transported to Logan Regional Hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Feb. 26, 2002 A counterfeit $5 bill was found in the C-3 parking lot and turned into police.

A student reported that his vehicle was broken into while parked in the Mountain View Tower parking lot. The stereo and speakers were stolen. Police are investigating the incident.

Feb. 27, 2002 Police assisted Logan City police with traffic control at the scene of a trash dumpster fire. This fire occurred at the corner of 900 North and 800 East The fire was minor and caused no injuries or damage to property other than the contents of the trash dumpster.

Police responded to a medical assist for an individual who was having a seizure and not breathing. Police and ambulance personnel responded and assisted the victim.

An individual reported to police that a false credit card had been made in his name. Police are investigating the incident.

Police investigated an alcohol offense in an on-campus apartment. Illicit drugs, paraphernalia and alcoholic beverages were found at the apartment. Three individuals were cited and released.
