Career Services offers job help Advisers in the Office of Career Services are available to assist students in creating and updating resumes, preparing for interviews, learning effective job search techniques, signing up for on-campus recruiting and researching companies for both internship/practicum and career opportunities. The office also offers an online job search Web site called e-Recruiting, through which employers may post jobs and students may apply for positions. Hansen announces retirement Congressman James Hansen announced his retirement on Jan. 8, after serving 22 years in the United States House of Representatives. Prior to that, he served eight years in the Utah House of Representatives and 12 years on the Farmington City Counsel. He called public service a great honor and privilege and said he feels he has served the public well. Hansen said he intends to give his all until his term ends and feels he can “accomplish many good things for Utah and America during this last year.”
Radio High Country joins UPR Radio High Country News is about to join the Saturday morning programming lineup at Utah Public Radio (UPR). The 30-minute show debuts Feb. 2 at 11 a.m. “This is a news magazine featuring environmental news from the Rocky Mountain Region,” Lee Austin, UPR program director, said. “It is produced by the publishers of High Country News and uses the talents of various free-lance journalists in the region. In northern Utah, UPR programs are heard on KUSU FM (89.5) and KUSR FM (91.5). For more information visit the Utah Public Radio Web site at www.upr.org.Bonneville Trail plan unveiled A public open house will be held Monday, Jan. 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Logan Recreation Center to unveil the Draft Master Plan for the Northern Utah Portion of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. Public meetings were held last October to gain input, and the maps presented at the open house are a synthesis of these ideas.
