• Ultimate Frisbee Tournament on HYPR fields November 5. Teams of 6, playing 4 vs. 4, co-ed. $20 minimun donation required per team by Nov. 4 to the Ag Tech Memorial Scholarship fund or to the Ag Tech Family Support Account. Day-of entries will be $45. • STC Workshop on Adobe Illustrator, the society for Technical Communication, Nov. 12, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Ray B. West room 101.

• Applications are available for membership in the USU chapter of PINNACLE, the national reentry honor society. Students should be 26 years of age or older, a junior or senior, have had a 5-year or more gap at some point in their education, have a minimum 3.0 overall USU GPA, be involved in campus and/or community activities. • Come join the Cache Valley Folk Dancers for their monthly ‘first saturday’ Contra Dance. The dance will be held November 5, at the Whittier Community Center, 290 North 400 East, in Logan. Beginner’s and families are welcome – all dances are taught. Dancing begins around 7:30, going until 10:30 or 11. Music this month will be provided by Leaping Lulu and the dances will be called by Kay Forsyth and other talented callers. A $5 donation is requested at the door.

• A Street Smart Self-Defense Course for Women, November 5 and will run for 6 consecutive weeks from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Dale Caldwell from the SLC area will be the instructor. Fee for the entire course is $150 per person. Space is limited. Women 18 years and older may sign up by calling Beverly at 752-0808 extension 304.

• Cache Humane Society Kibble Crunch Brunch, Nov. 12, Le Nonne Restaurant. $75/person. All proceeds will benefit the Cache Humane Society animal shelter.
