Graybill earns honors
Utah Statesman: When did you start playing volleyball?
Erin Graybill: Seventh grade.
US: Why did you start playing?
EG: Because my friend dragged me along to the tryouts at Churchill Junior High.
US: Who is your role model?
EG: Probably a tie between my mom and dad.
US: Who is your role model in volleyball?
EG: The only person that comes to mind is Logan Tom. That was when I was little. She was a local here and she was always at our tournaments and stuff. We would always come watch her and try to be like her.
US: What are your goals for the future?
EG: Finish with getting my master’s. Get a job somewhere in accounting, have kids.
US: What is something that you would like to do but aren’t able to?
EG: I want to travel. Travel anywhere.
US: What is one of your favorite games you’ve played in?
EG: One of my favorites was beating BYU last year.
US: What are you thinking when you are blocking a ball?
EG: I am trying to read where they are going and get in that line. Once you know that you are going to block it and you get in that spot, your whole body kind of tenses up. When you block straight down, it’s the best feeling in the world.
US: Outside your immediate family, who knows you the best?
EG: Probably my friend Brynn King. I met her up here. I spend the most time with her. We kind of me when I came up here and so I’ve known her for a couple years. I spend a lot of time with her every day.
