Letters to the Editor

Editor,

While climbing the stairs to up Old Main on Thursday, I looked up and noticed a wonderful sight. The flags were all flying at full mast again. This caused me to think about the state our country has been in recently, as well as our own university, that has caused the flag to fly at half mast for a few weeks. Flying at full mast certainly does not mean that the problems are solved, or that the problems will not happen again, or that our country is in perfect condition. To me it does show that our country, and our university, is resilient. We took a kick in the stomach but we can come back strong, learning from the adversity. I encourage all to notice the flag flying at the top of the mast and be thankful to live in this ‘land of the free and home of the brave.’
