LETTER: Aggie TV needs better reception not more channel selections

Dear Editor,

I am writing a letter regarding Aggie TV. Last year and over the summer we had outages on TV. I once asked one of the repairmen why we were having such frequent outages. He told me they had added more channels but had not upgraded the strength of the signal. He told me this made the signal weaker and caused outages.

I hoped that over the summer, Aggie TV would increase the strength of their signal so we wouldn’t have outages. I am not aware of this happening because we still get outages. What did they do next? They added more channels. Seems like a brilliant idea doesn’t it?

I recorded a movie recently off of Aggie TV so I could watch it at a later time. I went to watch it, and the quality was absolutely horrible. Try watching channel 23 or 24. Quite often, the signal is so bad you can’t watch the movie because your screen is blue most of the time. I have to pay a monthly fee for this service and I want something for my money. When I sit down to watch the show, I want to be able to watch it.

Maybe I will just cancel my service then. Oh yeah, I can’t. It’s mandatory.
