Pageant commemorates the Constitution
A pageant will be done in commemoration of the signing of the U.S. Constitution called “A Day to Remember” in conjunction with constitution week, on Sept. 21 and 22. It will be held in the Kent Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m. The LDS Institute Choir, New Horizons and the Cache Ballet will be performing. It will be an evening of dance, song, music and drama. Tickets are free to the public and are available at Macey’s Food and Drug, Lee’s Marketplace, Albertson’s Food and Drug, Smith’s Tix, Thriftway, the Logan LDS Institute and the Book Table. Ticket holders must be seated by 7:10 p.m. At 7:15 p.m., seats will be open to the general public. For more information, call 753-8844 or 753-2930.
ALA holds retreat
On Friday through Saturday, the Aggie Leadership Academy will hold a campout at the Paradise cabins. It will be open to everyone. Students who would like to participate need to meet in the Taggart Student Center on the second floor at 5 p.m. Friday with a sleeping bag. Bring $5 and any personal items. There will be a short service project Saturday morning that will fill hours needed for Survival and Success. For more information, call Dan Phelps at 881-4410.
Graduate Fair offers information
Today in the Sunburst/International Lounge from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. there will be the second Professional and Graduate School Fair. Representatives from 20 schools and 50 programs in a variety of disciplines will be available to answer questions. Presentations will include: How to prepare for graduate school, how to finance gradate school; and a professional and graduate student panel. For more information call Career Services at 797-7777. Financial Planning especially for women
Take control of your finances A financial planning meeting for women is held in the Family Life building on the second Wednesday of each month both at 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., FL Room 318 and at 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the USU Family Life Center located at 493 N. 700 East. Candidates for Director of International Students and Scholars will be speaking in the Taggart Student Center in Room 335. Tom Burns will speak on Sept. 21, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Craig LaRocco will speak on Sept. 25, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Negar Davis will speak Sept. 27, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Earn credit while playing
Tryouts for the Utah State men’s club volleyball team will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the HPER, Room 201. The campus recreation department runs the club and the team competes in the Mountain West Volleyball Conference with other university programs. Last year’s team ranked ninth in the country for club teams. Participants will learn and improve their skills, earn credit while playing, join a winning tradition and make a difference.
