* A Practical Pistol match open to the public Jan. 24,9:00 a.m. at Cache Valley Hunter Education Center three miles west of Logan on Highway 30. Sponsored by CAPS, the match will be free to first-time participants.

Otherwise, the entrance fee is $12 for CAPS members and $17 for non-members. Minimum caliber is 9mm Luger, and larger caliber pistols or revolvers may be used. Bring at least 150 rounds of ammunition. Ear and eye protection must be worn by all competitors and spectators. A required new-shooter orientation class will be conducted in the main building before the match. It starts at 7:45 am.
