Oct. 31* Logan City Police received a report that some time Thursday night the complainant’s mailbox was hit by a pumpkin.* Utah State University Campus Police arrested an individual for minor in possession of alcohol at the Halloween Howl. * A USU student was arrested at the Halloween Howl for public intoxication and minor in possession of alcohol and had to be transported by ambulance to the hospital. * An individual reported a theft of a hat from the Fieldhouse during the Halloween Howl. It is described as brown, fake-leather, cowboy hat with a rope looping around it.
Nov. 1* A woman reported to the Cache County Sheriff’s Office that her neighbors have cut her tee-pee poles into firewood and would like to speak to an officer.* Campus police responded to a fire alarm at Morgan Hall, and found it was set off by a crimping iron that was too hot.
Nov. 2* It was reported to campus police that two individuals playing disc golf accidentally struck and broke a window at Davis Hall with their disc. * Campus police responded to a report of individuals throwing a hatchet at a tree.
Nov. 3* A caller reported to Logan City Police the smell of smoke inside the residence like someone has burned a match. * Campus police responded to Valley View Tower on a suspicious odor. * Campus police responded to Bullen Hall on a complaint of students throwing snowballs at cars.
Nov. 4* A caller reported to Logan City Police that his construction crew is working in an area and have found some strange bones. * Logan City Police received a report of a dead muskrat at Merlin Olsen Park. * A professor reported to campus police that someone keeps removing items from a bulletin board and throwing them in the trash. Nov. 5 * An individual reported to Logan City Police that a stray cat was caught in the radiator and is now mangled under the truck. * Campus police responded to the Taggart Student Center B parking lot to help an individual locate her car. The vehicle was located in a different area than where she thought she had parked.
Nov. 6* An individual reported to Logan City Police that a Chihuahua was missing from it’s cage on the front porch. * Logan City Animal Control assisted campus police with an injured rabbit that was on campus. * Campus police responded to the report of a smell of smoke in the Technical Support Services Building. Further investigation revealed that the smell of smoke was coming from some burned caramel popcorn.
