SCIENCE WEEK ACTIVIATIES TO BE HELD

Monday, Breakfast on the Run will be provided at the Geology Building at 8 a.m.

Tuesday, Clubs and Grub. The science clubs will be featured and food will be provided at the Eccles Science Learning Center.

Wednesday, there will be a study break at the ESLC at 8:15 a.m. Students are invited to see the new chemistry building.

Thursday, an undergraduate research forum and showcase will take place in the Suburst Lounge of the Taggart Student Center. Free Aggie Ice Cream will be provided from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will also be a sneak preview of K-PAX at 7:30 p.m. in the TSC Auditorium.

Friday, the Quiz Bowl and Free Aggie Ice Cream will be in the Sunburst Lounge.

VOLUNTEER MENTORS NEEDED FOR YOUTH

Volunteer mentors are needed for the Latino Youth Project to create lasting friendships and help support Latino youth in academics.

Students share their goals, selves and dedication along with an hour each week with their Latino youth.

Students receive one college credit per semester they are involved. Gas and spending money are provided. Students also receive practicum experience working with Latino youth.

UCC RECRUITING FOR AMERICORPS POSITIONS

The Utah Conservation Corps is currently recruiting committed, energetic individuals to fill 12 AmeriCorps positions that will strengthen the community of Logan and all of Utah. AmeriCorps members begin service in late January 2002 and will complete service at the end of Novermber.

UCC AmeriCorps members will work natural resource service projects primarily in Utah’s National Forest and National Park lands.

MICROFORM COPYING NOW AVAILABLE

The University Service Serials Department will now make paper copies of microfilm, microfiche and microcard articles and other resources for a fee of 15 cents per page, compared to the normal ten-cent fee.

Orders for microform copying can be placed at the Current Periodicals service desk on the second floor of the Merrill Library. Pre-payment is required.
