Feb. 6
* USU police responded to a reported hit and run traffic accident in the B parking lot across the highway from the Chase Fine Arts Center.* USU police responded to the road near the cemetery and spoke with a 7-year-old boy that was sitting alone on the sidewalk.* USU police responded to Edith Bowen Elementary School on a request to locate a student and transport him to his house. Police found the student and drove him to his house.
Feb. 7
* USU police responded to an elevator alarm in Widtsoe Hall. An individual was stuck in the elevator when it stopped between floors. Police let the individual out of the elevator and turned the elevator off until it could be fixed.
Feb. 8
* USU police assisted an individual who had concerns regarding snow removal in the trailer court.
Feb. 9
* USU police received a delayed traffic accident report involving a university snow plow that accidentally hit a parked university van in the Space Dynamics Lab parking lot. Police documented the incident.* USU police escorted an individual to pick up a book at the USU Bookstore. This individual is the subject of a protective order that prohibits him from being in the Taggart Student Center. The person who had obtained the protective order was informed of the action before it occurred.* USU police responded to Old Main to assist a student who had collapsed. The ambulance and paramedics responded, but the student refused transportation to the hospital and signed a release form.* USU police were asked to assist a university administrator concerning termination of an employee.* An Aggie Village resident reported a hit and run traffic accident that occurred sometime between late December 2003 and Jan. 28, 2004.* USU police responded to a smell of smoke at the Industrial Science Building. The smell came from the test firing of a jet engine.
Feb. 10
* USU police are holding a skateboard that was turned in to the lost and found in the Taggart Student Center.* An individual reported a traffic accident. The driver’s vehicle hit a parked vehicle in the parking lot west of the Lundberg Building. Police are trying to locate the owner of a second vehicle that was involved, a small red pickup truck.
Feb. 12
* USU police picked up some property found at the Taggart Student Center. A money order was found in a parking lot and turned into lost and found. Police are trying to make contact with the owner.* USU police responded to a hit and run traffic accident at 1050 N. 800 E. A vehicle began pulling out of the west stadium parking lot and then stopped. The vehicle went into reverse and hit another car behind it. The suspect vehicle then drove off. Police are looking for the vehicle.* USU police responded to the USU Trailer Court on a report of an open door on an unoccupied trailer. Police found no one inside, nor did there seem to be anything suspicious at the location.
