Utah Statesman: How did you end up at Utah State University?
Leah Zimmerman: It was a last-minute thing, I just decided.
US: How did you choose a major?
Zimmerman: I took some general classes that had to do with it and I really liked it.
US: What is your favorite thing about campus?
Zimmerman: I like that everybody is friendly. When you say “hi,” they don’t look at you like you’re weird.
US: In your opinion, what is the best way to spend time between classes?
Zimmerman: Sleep. Do homework. Eat.
US: What is the best subject/class you’ve ever taken?
Zimmerman: The best class actually wasn’t for my major. It was a humanities class taught by Professor Damen. He was a great teacher, really student-oriented so the class was fun even though I didn’t like the subject.
US: What is your favorite breakfast cereal?
Zimmerman: Cocoa Puffs.
US: What was the last movie you saw?
Zimmerman: Um, It’s been a while. I’m a poor college student!
US: Do you have any unique talents?
Zimmerman: No, just pretty average.
US: What would you do if you found out you only had 24 hours to live?
Zimmerman: Go see all my family, talk to them about stuff I’d been afraid to before.
US: Let’s say you had the next five hours free and money was no object-what would you do?
Zimmerman: That’s a toughie, we’re in Logan … I’d go eat at all the good places. Like Hamilton’s, I’ve heard it’s good.
US: Do you have any strong feelings about Disneyland Themepark?
Zimmerman: Actually, I’ve only been once when I was 12 and I was kind of disappointed. It wasn’t the big fairytale I wanted it to be.
US: If you had an unlimited supply of monkeys, how would you use them?
Zimmerman: That’s so cute! I’d teach them stuff. I’ve always thought it was cool that they could learn sign language. I’d talk and play with them.
US: If you could vanquish one evil, what would it be?
Zimmerman: Terrorism. I hate seeing it on the news every minute. It’s sad what people are doing to each other.-eliseras@cc.usu.edu
