UDOT Region One Road Construction Report

OGDEN – The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises motorists of the following state road restrictions:

Cache County

1. July 21: S.R. 61 will be closed from 800 West to Main Street in Lewiston for maintenance work. The closure will be in effect Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists may use 800 North and 800 South as alternate routes.

Box Elder County

1. July 21-29: Resurfacing project on S.R. 102 between the Crossroads (S.R. 13) in Tremonton and S.R. 38 in Deweyville. One-way traffic will be directed by pilot car and flaggers. Restrictions will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 15 minute delays and are advised to use alternate routes.

U.S. 89 Logan Canyon Construction Update

OGDEN – The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises motorists of the following state road restrictions:

Cache County

July 15 – Fall 2006: Bridge replacement project in progress on U.S. 89 through Logan Canyon. The project will replace three U.S. 89 bridges at the following locations: mouth of Logan Canyon in Logan (including construction of a new pedestrian underpass), the Stokes Nature Center trail head and Right Hand Fork. All three bridges will be replaced with new structures that meet current design and safety standards.

All three bridges will be constructed simultaneously and will be built one-half at a time. Beginning Friday, motorists should expect lane restrictions and delays in project limits. Canyon travelers are also advised of U.S. 89 reconstruction from the canyon summit to Garden City.

July 15: One-way traffic will be directed by flaggers on U.S. 89 at the mouth of the canyon in Logan from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

July 18: One-way traffic will be directed by flaggers on U.S. 89 at the mouth of the canyon in Logan from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

UDOT advises motorists to reduce speeds and use caution when driving through work zones.
