• Beyond Abuse, Pathways to Healing, Oct. 22, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. TSC Sunburst lounge, A two-part session. The program covers therapy techniques for healing from sexual abuse and other trauma.

•Victimized by violence and abuse? Discover the power of healing through writing. Two-part workshop Oct. 22, 7 to 9 p.m. with Star Coubrooke. Preregistration required. 797-1728.

•Shirt designing sessions for the Clothesline project may be arranged at the Women’s Center, 797-1728. Davy or evening appointments available Oct. 14 through 25. Clothesline project is a visual display of shirts designed by women survivors of violence, their families or friends.

•Saturdays at Stewart’s, Denzil Stewart Nature Park at the end of 1st South and 7th East. 4 to 6 p.m., October 19, Weeds and Water. Join Roger Kjelgren (Associate Professor Horticulture) to learn about low water techniques for your landscape. Then help us install a drip irrigation system in the park. And join Kim Andersen (Research Assistant, Noxious Weeds) to learn about common noxious and invasive weeds and learn how to control them. Then grab a shovel and help us rid the park of noxious weeds.
