Sigma Nu disappoints
Dear Editor,
On my way across campus, I recognized a Sigma Nu flyer for a party on Friday night. The flyer was stapled to a tree.
For all of the honor, glory, and respect that fraternities want to elicit from the general populace, this was an all time low. Fraternities should embody good traits, community service and most of all the issue of honoring the environment.
Sigma Nu does not embody those attributes in my mind. It places at naught regulations and restrictions placed on other people.
Sigma Nu has not always been this way. They were once men of honor. My Grandfather graduated in 1933 with a degree in Forestry, was editor of the school newspaper and a Delta Nu, the progenitor of Sigma Nu. Members of Sigma Nu should take well the honorable past they are disgracing, and live up to the standards of a real fraternity.
Honor is everything. If you cannot live worthy of the Honor of the name Sigma Nu, reform yourselves to be better.
