Police blotter for Jan. 29

Friday, Jan. 19

• Police cited two non-students for minor in possession of alcohol after it had been reported they were harassing a student.

• Police assisted a Logan City Police officer with a traffic stop in order to administer a portable breath test.

Saturday, Jan. 20

• Police responded to an altercation between two fans at the Spectrum that involved one individual popping the balloon of a young child. After talking to the two parties involved and witnesses in the area, no charges were filed.Sunday, Jan. 21

• Police responded to the Sci Tech Library on the report of a toilet on the third floor that had overflowed and flooded the corner of the building on all floors. Custodians were called in to clean up the water.

• When police arrived to provide medical attention to a four-year-old boy who was not breathing, the boy had begun to breathe but was not responding. The child and his mother were transported by ambulance to the hospital.

• Police responded to the Fine Arts Center on the report of graffiti that had been spray painted on a roll-down door on the east side of the building. The graffiti consisted of the initials “D.T.E.” and other unknown characters.

Monday, Jan. 22

• Police responded to a missing/overdue person report from Aggie Village. The individual later called home to report that he had stopped in another city in Idaho and was all right.

Tuesday, Jan. 23

• An individual reported that someone had tried to use another individual’s identity to get a line of credit to purchase item fraudulently.• Police investigated a traffic accident in the ComD parking lot involving a vehicle sliding into another vehicle. Damage is estimated at $1300.

• Police took a report of a suspicious person in the housing office. An individual identified himself as working for Scientific Atlanta Cable, but left the building when asked if he needed assistance.

Wednesday, Jan. 24

• A forged parking pass was found in a vehicle in the Old Main parking lot. The owner of the vehicle was issued a fine by Parking and charged with theft of services.
