Men’s V-ball club takes second in tourney

USU men’s club volleyball team lost to the University of Utah 25-22, 20-25, 15-12 Saturday in the championship game of a tournament hosted by the Utes.

Utah dropped only one match during the one-day tournament held in Salt Lake City – a three-game loss to USU during round robin play. The tournament was the first win for Utah, currently ranked 14th in the nation.

For Utah State, the top seed in the tournament, the only other loss on the day came from Utah Valley State College in three games as they went 7-2.

The Aggies have dominated the season by winning four of six tournaments and are currently ranked 11th in the nation by the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association.

USU, Weber State University, Utah Valley State College, Salt Lake Community College (No. 25) and two University of Utah teams (No. 14) participated in the tournament.
