•Join the USU Outdoor Recreation Center on a Spring Break Backpacking Trip, March 10-13.  Dr. Ryan Jordan, ultralight guru, will accompany the group.  Cost is $25, with a mandatory pre-trip meeting March 7, 7 p.m. .  Register with the ORC by March 7, or call with questions, 797-3264.

•ORC rental special for Spring Break. Pay only the weekend rate and keep it for the whole break. Pick up equipment Friday, March 10 and return it Monday, March 20.

•USU’s debate team will be holding a public debate in the Taggart Student Center Sunburst Lounge at 12:30 p.m., March 23rd.

•The following scholarships are available from the USU Women’s Center, Room 315. 2006-07 Stephanie Osborne Scholarship. Eligibility: Undergraduate single senior women 24 yrs of age or younger who graduate fall ’06 or spring ’07. Criteria: 2.5+GPA, 6 credit hours, financial need, clearly stated educational goals, and involved in school & community activities. DEADLINE: April 3, 2006. The 2006-07 Dupont Endowed Scholarship for women and minorities in civil and environmental engineering. Eligibility: undergraduate women in civil/environmental engineering and engineering, undergraduate american minority men in civil & environmental engineering. DEADLINE: April 14, 2006

•Christ Presbyterian Church meets Sundays at 5:30 p.m. in the University Inn conference room. The church is a congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian CHurch and stresses reverent worship and biblical preaching.

•Sky View High School’s Encore singing group and Jazz Band present “Where Does the Time Go” a USO-style dinner show and dance. 7 p.m. March 17, 18, 20. The event will be catered by Culinary Concepts. Tickets are $15 and can be reserved by calling 512-4892 or 563-3686

•March 10, 7:30 p.m. 5 bands present their music at Club NVO. from Buffalo New York Benson, from Seattle Washington Forgive Durden, from Salt Lake Trademark and from Logan Oncore and Woodlybog.

•MWCN will be having their annual Deal Flow Report Luncheon March 16, noon at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City.  Networking begins at 11:30 a.m. Businesses recognized will be: SkyWest Airlines, ExtraSpace Storage, Zions Bank, Huntsman Chemical Corporation and Omniture. Tickets are $35/person.
