LETTER: Bible not a good defense

To the editor:

People, stop quoting the Bible as a defense against everyone else’s actions. I understand that you have your beliefs and I respect them, but no matter how much you actually quote it, you won’t always get people to agree with you just because the Bible says so.

In case you didn’t realize, the Bible is a product of human creation, not “God” himself so we can’t state it as actual fact. I don’t care if something is a “sin,” all that matters is that person is doing what they feel is right and they aren’t ashamed of it. You shouldn’t try and preach your values to those people because they really don’t care and the rest of us get sick of hearing about it.
