LETTER: A religious candidate is best

To the editor:

In response to a letter of March 2nd, the writer’s pro-agnostic views have no truthful concept concerning faith and reason. In his arguments against faith, he lacks clear insight into the current situation of our great country and its political realities. For instance, only a man of faith can hope to solve our problems in Iraq and elsewhere. Like, the only way we can hope to leave Iraq a successful democracy is through a great amount of prayer and a miracle (or two). A president unwilling to pray for our troops has no place to be in the White House. If not for our current president’s faith, I’m sure many more American soldiers would be injured and worse. So if Mr. Romney, a successful one-term governor and Olympic coordinator isn’t the best faithful candidate, so be it. Maybe another recent ex-Olympian in the news (Rulon Gardener), strong in stature and faith would be another excellent choice. God bless America.
