STATE YOUR CASE: Weber State

CURIS LUNDSTROM

Obviously it’s Weber State. I am a life-long Aggie, but after the drubbing on the Aggies Tuesday, it’s hard to think otherwise. Weber forced 15 turnovers, hit 52 percent from 3-point range and led by as many as 18. The scoreboard is all you need look at.

As much as I love Stew and the Aggies, they’re a young squad. The Wildcats have seven returning players, including reigning Big Sky MVP Damian Lillard. After Lillard went down with a broken foot last season, the Wildcats almost won the conference title. Now he’s back, and he’s got a solid supporting cast to help him.

Weber State was picked to win the Big Sky Conference, and their experience is a big reason why. The Aggies are a good but young team and don’t have the experience the Wildcats do.

Wildcats 73, Aggies 63. Weber won. Enough said.
