Parking, booting, Tier II tuition and sophomore scholarships were just a few of the issues discussed at ASUSU’s Academic Senate meeting Tuesday.

Other things discussed were Homecoming, Ag Week and Business Week as well as other upcoming events for ASUSU. The student advocate group has been working through the summer to prepare for the school year and issues it will face.

Students are able to stay up to date on what is going on with ASUSU and all over campus through the ASUSU Web site, www.usu.edu/asusu. ASUSU President Peter McChesney said the Web site has been updated and hosts a calender, contact information and links to club and groups, to name a few.

Interaction with regional campuses may increase this year with an interactive camera connection between them and the Academic Senate and Executive Council meetings. Students on campus are invited to attend all meetings, McChesney said, and they are encouraged to bring ideas.

Executive Council is made to enhance the quality of student life and meets every Monday at 5 p.m. in Taggart Student Center Room 336, the Senate Chambers, according to the Web site. The Academic Senate helps the quality of ASUSU by having people from all over campus meet with part of the Executive Council, which meets every Tuesday at 5 p.m. also in TSC 336.
