Utah Statesman: What’s your plan for life?

Nick Hansen: To enjoy it.

US: How are you going to do that?

NH: I’m going to go to school and get a degree. While getting the degree, I figure I’ll start some kind of company and then eventually work for people, clients, as a freelance graphic designer. That’s the dream.

US: What is on your iPod or in your CD player right now?

NH: RJD2, Cold War Kids and Queen.

US: Who are those first two?

NH: RJD2 doesn’t have too many vocals. Usually if there are vocals he does it for other people, but it’s basically beats. And then Cold War Kids, they’re from California. They’re kind of a sassy, pitty group. I don’t know how to explain it.

US: What’s your favorite breakfast cereal and why?

NH: Blueberry Muffin Tops, because it comes in the big bag, so it’s cheap, but it’s extremely good.

US: What animal would you say you’re most like and why?

NH: Animal? An eagle, because I love to soar. I know, it’s cheesy. Whatever.

US: If someone asked you to locate the country of Qatar on a map, would you be able to do it?

NH: Uh… yes? Well, no, probably not. That’s hard.

US: What do you think about aliens and big foot? Do you believe in that kind of stuff?

NH: I believe in it as far as it’s entertainment-based, but belief-based? No. They’re there for my entertainment, but not for my purpose.

US: If someone were to walk into your bedroom, name five items they would see.

NH: Stereo, guitar, skateboard and mess of spray paint.
