Clubs decorate Christmas trees

Organizations and Traditions of the Associated Students of Utah State University is signing up clubs and university organizations for the Christmas Tree Lane.

There are only 30 spots available, so groups must sign up quickly in order to get a tree. Decorating begins Dec. 2 at 4 p.m. and must be finished before 5 p.m. on Dec. 3.

City forest roads closed for winter

Because of much-needed rain and snowfall in the Northern Utah Mountains, the Logan Ranger District of the U.S. Forest Service has closed the gates on forest roads as of Nov. 13, 2002.

For snowmobile trail grooming information after Dec. 15, call 1-800-OHVRIDE.

Grad conference held Monday

Graduate students in the American studies program of Utah State University’s department of English will present “Crossing Borders: The Intersection of Chicano and American Studies.”

This conference will take place Monday at 4:30 p.m. in Old Main, Room 338. Refreshments will be served at this free event, and everyone is

invited.

Aggie Pride Light honors students

To demonstrate pride in the many accomplishments of Utah State University faculty, staff and students, the Aggie Blue Pride Light will be turned on Monday.

Every four months, the university designates a Blue Pride Light Night to recognize individuals for their outstanding achievements.

USU youth group to host concert

Utah State University’s Youth Conservatory will host its annual holiday concert.

Young pianists from the YC perform Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. in the Logan Tabernacle. The concert is free and no tickets are required.

USU trombones perform Dec. 2

The Utah State University Trombone Ensemble will join the Caine Brass and Woodwind quintets and the Caine Percussion Ensemble for a Dec. 2 concert in the Tippetts Exhibition Hall of the Chase Fine Arts Center. Concert time is 7:30 p.m., and the event is free.
