Nonsense(?) Letters

(This letter is not intended to be published, merely read by the editorial board who determines which letters get printed.)In regards to the couple of nonsensical letters published under the name of Sean Lendrihas, I wonder if you (the editorial board) actually read any of your letters. Surely you realize the total lack of sense that these had for your readership.I have noticed similar letters being posted at seemingly random newsgroups and suppose that this sort of thing is, at best, a poor algorithm designed to spew meaningless words in a semi-valid syntax or a hoax in bad taste to arouse suspicion. Such letters can easily be interpreted as something worse, unfortunately. Perhaps someone is committing identity theft on Mr. Lendrihas and wishes that he sound idiotic. Perhaps these incomprehensible messages are coded instructions. Whatever they really are, they can’t be considered a good use of column-inches and might even deserve attention from law enforcement authorities.
