ASUSU OKs new department in TSC
Office space in the Taggart Student Center continues to be reallocated as the ASUSU Executive Council signed a letter supporting the creation of a new department at the council’s meeting Tuesday.
According to the letter, the Department of Retention and First Year Experience will be housed on the third floor of the TSC in the offices currently occupied by the Tutoring Lab. The lab will be moved to the student lounge behind the TSC Auditorium.
ASUSU President Noah Riley said retention has become a “top priority” compared to the other planned changes in the TSC.
“As a result, the proposal to move The Utah Statesman and enlarge the TSC computer lab will be revisited if the need to make those changes becomes a higher priority,” the letter states.
