Bike crash injures student

An unidentified student was injured Friday after the front wheel came off of his bike, causing him to land in the street.

The male was riding on the sidewalk near the Logan Cemetery when the wheel came off near 1000 North, causing him to flip over the handlebars, according to USU Police Cpt. Steve Milne.

Milne said Logan EMT took the student to the hospital with a head laceration and some memory difficulties.

“The good thing is he’s moving all his arms and legs,” Milne said.

Freshman Jeremy Bowe was riding with the student when he crashed.

“We turned off and I heard a crashing sound and his front wheel was rolling off to the side,” Bowe said.
