NEW MEXICO STATE AT IDAHO
The University of Idaho improved to 2-0 on the season in WAC play with a victory Saturday over New Mexico State, 28-20. The Vandals (2-0, 3-3 overall) jumped out to a 28-13 halftime in thanks to two touchdowns a piece by wide receiver Wendell Octave and running back Brian Flowers. Flowers ended the day with 91 yards rushing and University of Idaho quarterback Steve Wichman threw for 298 yards. The Aggies(0-1, 2-3 overall) were led by quarterback Chase Holbrook, who completed 25 of 41 passes for 342 yards and three touchdowns.
LOUISIANA TECH AT BOISE STATE
Boise State(2-0, 6-0 overall) remained undefeated by easily defeating Louisiana Tech 55-14. Boise State quarterback Jared Zabransky threw for two touchdowns as well as scoring twice on the ground. Sophomore running back Ian Johnson ran for 92 yards and one touchdown. Louisiana Tech(0-1, 1-4 overall) played a ranked team on the road for the third time.
NEVADA AT HAWAII
Hawaai quarterback Colt Brennan threw for four touchdowns and ran for another as he helped lead the Warriors past the visiting Nevada Wolf Pack, 41-34. Nevada(0-2,3-3 overall) had a last chance to tie the game but a pass by backup quarterback Travis Moore sailed through the back of the endzone. Hawaii now moves to 1-1 in conference play and 3-2 overall. The win by Hawaii snaps a three game win streak by Nevada.
