•Join the USU Outdoor Recreation Center for a canoeing and bird-watching trip to the Bear River Marshes.  April 15, $13 ($10 USU students). Call the ORC to sign up, or with questions, 797-3264.

•USU Interior Design department Senior Exhibit April 10 – 21, Twain Tippetts Gallery in the Chase Fine Arts Center. Free to the public Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

•Night on the Quad is on April 7, bands start, 7 p.m., food 7:30 p.m. Come for entertainment, food, and prizes!

•USU Ballroom team Spring Show 2006, April 7-8, 7 p.m. at the Elite Hall 83 West Main Street, Hyrum. Tickets Cost $5, or $3 with student ID.

•Gender blender by LIFE. April 15, 9 p.m. TSC Walnut Room.

•Apple a day 5k fun and health fair. April 8, 10 a.m. Starting on the Quad. $5 registration fee, all proceeds go to Operation Smile.

•Annual Salsabration Saturday April 8, at the LDS Institute, Cultural Hall. Dinner, show and dance. $10 general pubic, $8 students with ID. Tickets and info available at the MSS Office Rm 309 or 797-1733.

•Come celebrate the dedication of the Merrill-Cazier LIbrary, April 14, 2 p.m. Library Atrium. Following the dedication, guests invited to enjoy refreshments and tour of the new library.

•USU Public Folklore Students present, Before You Were Here: Early Stories of Cache Valley; “Old Ephraim”, “Stories White People Don’t Know”, and “Mink Creek Settlement Stories.” April 21, 6 -8 p.m. free, TSC Walnut room.

•The Hunger Banquet Wednesday, April 5, 7 p.m., $5, Walnut Room. Fun, entertainment and light dinner provided. Come and learn about poverty inequalities in the world today.

•CAPSA and Borders Books & Music are hosting a Poetry Slam in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. April 6, 6 – 8 p.m. Pre-register at Borders or by calling 787-0678. Local poetry experts will judge the event and prizes will be awarded to the top three entries. Call 787-0678 for more details.

•Mountain Crest High School Drama Department presents an old-fashioned melodrama “The Valiant Villain”, 7 p.m. Friday, April 7 MCHS auditorium.  Come boo the villain and cheer the hero.  This production is a fund-raising project.

•STC Garage Sale, Saturday, April 8, 8 a.m. to noon at the WalMart parking lot.

•Service project cleaning up Hardware Ranch counts for Dedicated Hunter Program service hours. Meet Saturday April 8th @ 10 a.m. at the University Inn parking lot.
