LETTER: Cyclists should give right of way
To the editor:
I enjoy riding my bike and also have been called “crazy” through the winter weather. However, I am a believer in the slogan of Share the Road not Share the Sidewalk. I generally avoid riding on sidewalks. I have occasionally ridden on campus sidewalks, however, if it is congested to the point that I will run into people, I hop off my seat and walk like a pedestrian. To all cyclists who enjoy the sidewalk commute, please give other cyclists a good name and respect pedestrians by giving them the right of way.
