LETTER: Use better language in TSC LETTER: Use better language in TSC
Editor,
Imagine a student trying to study at the big table on the third floor of the TSC for an exam the next day. This is not an uncommon scenario.
What is surprising is the constant stream of profanity being expelled from the Senate Chamber a few feet away. Instead of being able to concentrate on The New Deal and The Great Society, the only thing entering the students’ mind are phrases like “be f***ing responsible” and “you f***ed up” and “this is f***ing ridiculous.” I don’t know what group was using that room at the time, but something should be done to stop this ineffective and uncalled-for use of idiotic language.
If this is the way business is to be conducted by this particular person, do it somewhere else, preferably somewhere sound proof. If this was some sort of university group or meeting, please get control of its leader. A university should be a place conducive to learning and higher thought, this behavior is of the lowest intelligence and does not belong.
